Harvey Weinstein says his children inspire him. He is a known producer fro Gangs of New York, Pulp Fiction and Shakespeare in Love and he says her made the movie Escape to Planet Earth for parents to enjoy some time with their children watching animated movies. He is a legendary movie producer and studio executive and he is well known for making big budget blockbusters. The sixty one year old is big on being a family man and sits down often to watch a movie with his children Lily, Emma, Ruth, India and Dashiell even he likes it or not.
“They inspired it [Escape from Planet Earth]. I’ve got four daughters and one boy. I’m always in the theater watching animated or family-orientated films. Sometimes they’re a pleasure and sometimes it’s torture! I wanted to make a movie that moms and dads could enjoy, but that was basically for kids,” Harvey explained to the British edition of OK! Magazine.
The film was just not a hit for his own kids, but other kids of the celebrities who starred in the big-screen animation.
“They loved it. I showed it to all the kids – Sarah’s kids, Jessica’s kids – we had a big screening in California. When the actors do those parts, their kids love them for it, like: ‘Dad, that was you! Mommy, that was you!’” he smiled.
Jessica Alba jumped at the chance to get on board,
“Harvey Weinstein is fantastic – we’ve been working together for more than ten years now since the first Sin City. He’s your biggest champion. He really appreciates artists and filmmakers and gives them a platform to actually exist, because it’s about great performances and stories more than anything,” Jessica gushed to the publication.
